Have you ever pursued something only to realize you left God out of the picture? In the story of the Tower of Babel, human ambition and pride led people to build a tower that symbolized self-reliance. Their desire for greatness without God’s guidance resulted in confusion and division. Proverbs 16:18 warns that “pride goes before destruction.” This story reminds us of the importance of keeping God at the center of our plans and ambitions. When we seek to honor Him in all we do, we can build something that lasts and fosters unity, not division.
