Psalm 34:18
What happens when fear takes the throne of a leader’s heart? King Saul, threatened by David’s rising influence, turns paranoid and unleashes deadly wrath on the innocent priests of Nob. This wasn’t just a political move—it was the collapse of a man once chosen by God, now ruled by fear instead of faith. The bloodshed reveals what happens when power is abused: the vulnerable suffer, and justice seems silent. Yet even here, God is not absent. Amid betrayal and death, one priest escapes—Abiathar—and finds safety with David. Through him, God preserves hope and continuity. In our own lives, when we see injustice or feel crushed by the weight of broken systems, we can remember that God sees all. He may be silent for a season, but His justice is never gone. Our role? Stay faithful, speak truth, and reflect His mercy, especially when the world feels dark.
