Genesis 28:17
Have you ever found God in an unexpected place? As Jacob flees from his past, he sees a ladder reaching up to heaven, with angels ascending and descending. In that moment, Jacob realizes that God is with him, even in his lowest and loneliest place. His response, “How awesome this place is! This is none other than God’s house” (Genesis 28:17), shows how God can transform any place into sacred ground. Jacob’s ladder reminds us that God meets us right where we are. Even when we’re running from mistakes or struggling with doubts, His presence is there, inviting us to a closer relationship. Like Jacob, we can open our hearts to God’s guidance, trusting He is at work in our lives, even in the ordinary and unexpected.
