Psalm 46:10
What do you do when others set you up to fail? Saul wasn’t offering David marriage as a blessing—he hoped the deadly task of winning his daughter’s hand would destroy him. But David, secure in God’s calling, didn’t flinch. He fulfilled the demand and doubled it, not to boast, but because he trusted the One who had already chosen him. When we live surrendered to God, no scheme against us can succeed. Even when others manipulate, betray, or plot harm, God’s purpose stands. David’s courage didn’t come from confidence in himself but from knowing God was with him. Maybe someone’s setting obstacles in your way, hoping you’ll stumble. Don’t fight dirty or fall into despair. Stand firm, stay faithful, and let God fight for you. His favor is more powerful than any trap the world sets.
